Welcome to Fintech Tuesday hosted by Copenhagen FinTech and InfinIT, where we combine the knowledge of commercial stakeholders together with the newest research within the technical sciences.

This Fintech Tuesday will be about applications of blockchain and smart contracts in some of the most high level and successful blockchain and smart contract solutions that currently exist.

Getting to the next level of blockchain and smart contracts in terms of security and business applications has the potential to be one of the most important areas in finance and business within the next decades.

Therefore we have invited some of the most highly regarded researchers and companies within the area to present their groundbreaking solutions and work.

Join us for an afternoon of some of the greatest research, business applications and minds within blockchain & smart contracts, to guide you through real use of these very hyped technologies.


Welcome & Introduction by Copenhagen FinTech

Professor Fritz Henglein, University of Copenhagen & Head of Research, Deon Digital

Fritz is a highly established professor within several areas of computer science, including recent research within financial contracts on the blockchain and contract-backed digital cash. His expertise is also used within the business space, as he is Head of Research at Deon Digital, where he is leading design of domain-specific languages for distributed ledger technology.

Assistant Professor Omri Ross, University of Copenhagen & Chief Blockchain Scientist & MD, eToroX Labs

Besides leading research within the blockchain and smart contract area, Omri sold his blockchain company Firmo to eToro, where Omri runs their eToroX Labs which is leading the company’s R&D on blockchain, including infrastructure and code for eToro’s 8 stable coins recently launched.

Omri has research and worked specifically within financial contracts on the blockchain and is one of the leading experts within execution of real applications of blockchain and smart contracts.

Gustav Arentoft, Business Development (Europe), MakerDAO

Gustav is responsible for MakerDAO Business Development in the European region, a front-runner in financial blockchain services globally. Prior to joining MakerDAO, Gustav was a fintech consultant in Argentina. He holds degrees in Business Economics and IT.
