KPMG just released their report “Pulse of Fintech – A biannual global analysis of investment in fintech”.
The report outlines investment in fintech the first half of 2018, including specific descriptions of investment globally, the Americas, the US, Europe and Asia.
Globally, global fintech investment hit $57.9B across 875 deals, surpassing the results from 2017.
A few interesting results are that investment in fintech in this period, as AI, RPA, insurtech and regtech has grown significantly and an emphasis on B2B solutions.
Due to the GDPR and PSD2, regulation has obviously been a big talking point in 2018 and this also shows in terms of the capital allocated to fintechs.
