Copenhagen Fintech has joined forces with EY and is now launching an intense two-day executive network program in 2nd half of 2024. Day one will be a full day in Oslo and day two will be a full day in Copenhagen, both days including a networking dinner.

Program/Focus:

The focus of this two-day program is to unlock the potential of Web3 for larger organizations. We offer a unique opportunity to explore innovative applications of blockchain technology and decentralized systems in a network with visionary coworkers from other large organizations.

Program/Format:

It will be a mixture of user oriented “lectures”, individual strategy mentoring and networking elements with the other participants and our guest mentors.

We are partnering up with some of the most advanced global companies involved in different aspects of web3 implementation so the lectures and the mentoring will be non-academic focusing on real use case experience aimed also at making it easy for you to choose potential next steps partners.

Who should join:

Participants should be either innovation strategy responsibilities who wants to expand their view and understanding on web3 opportunities and risks; digital assets responsible who wants to lift digital assets on the corporate strategic agenda; or control functions (risk, legal, compliance) who need to understand also the strategic and regulatory perspectives on web3.

Expected outcome:

The program is focusing on the strategic opportunity space of web3 for larger organizations. Ideally you will after the session have broadened your view on how you can grow and leapfrog your business with web3, taking into account the upcoming regulatory frames coming from the EU through its Digital Age package (incl. MiCAR – Markets in Crypto Assets Reporting).

We will focus mainly on the opportunity space but will also touch on the overall delivery realities that organizations face with Web3. Utilizing use cases to provide guidance and insights on how to deep dive more into this topic.

The Norwegian Central Bank perspective on Web3

Håvard Kittelsen, Norwegian Central Bank

Håvard Kittelsen is a dedicated computer scientist and co-founded Kaupang Krypto back in 2017. He has since been a driving force in the exciting world of blockchain-based projects. With a career marked by innovation and in-depth knowledge, he now serves as an advisor to the Norwegian Central Bank. Here, he explores the possibilities around a digital central bank currency (CBDC) and how the Norwegian Central Bank can navigate the ever-growing amount of digital assets.

Torbjørn Bull Jenssen is a recognized expert on bitcoin and financial applications of blockchain technology. Torbjørn holds and MSc in Economics and Econmoetric Modeling, and wrote his masters thesis on bitcoin in 2014

Leanne Elliott Young, Co-founder and CEO of Institute of Digital Fashion

Leanne Elliott-Young (she/her), is the CEO & Co-Founder of Institute of Digital Fashion (IoDF). Known as ‘Metaverse Mama’, Young is an globally renowned award winning industry-leading pioneer who has shaped IoDF into “one of a handful of digital fashion startups that have spearheaded Web3 in luxury in the last two years” (Vogue Business).

Clare Adelgren, Global Sales and Operations leader for EY’s Global Blockchain Team

Clare Adelgren leads the sales, GTM strategy and day to day product operations for EY Blockchain. This includes the development of the EY OpsChain platform with recent developments such as the OpsChain Contract Manager and the OpsChain Notarization. Prior to joining EY Clare has worked for both PwC and IBM with a combined 25+ years of business consulting experience serving large global enterprises in Enterprise Strategy, Digital Transformation and SW Engineering Programs.

LALIGA Case - From a Soccer Competition Organizer to a Global Player in the Sports and Entertainment Industry

LALIGA, Spain’s premier football league, is at the forefront of digitalization. With a SoMe community of +200M followers (the highest of any football league), LALIGA has also embrace on different levels WEB3; through partners and sponsors, such as SORARE ,GameOn (USA) or Goal Ball, on a club level (trough different initiatives such as Socios.com) or through strategic agreements such as the one forged between Sportian (LALIGA & Globant technology joint venture) and StadioPlus, that among other projects, launched the metaverse space of LALIGA in Decentraland, LALIGALAND.


Juan Fuentes Fernández, LALIGA Delegate to the Nordic countries, based in Copenhagen, he oversees the strategic development of LALIGA in northern Europe. He is also an investor and mentor in start-ups competitions, accelerators (Techstars USA), having invested in 2 projects with strong Web3 components. Morten is globally recognized as an NFT OG, having foreseen the transformative impact of NFTs and digital assets in gaming. He has collaborated with prestigious organizations such as FIFA, BBC Studios, Pro Cycling, ITV Studios, and many others, shaping strategies and developing projects utilizing blockchain technology.As he transitions into the fintech sector, Morten leverages his gaming expertise to gamify financial services, recognizing the growing trend of financialization in gaming. The EY FinTech & Digital Assets team has won several international rewards for our blockchain and crypto services, including Chambers FinTech Consulting Guide (band 1), Blockchain lawyers of the year by Finance Monthly 2022 and Leaders in Law 2022 (+ a few other publications). EY has supported a large share of Norway’s projects on digital assets and crypto-related since 2016, including governmental authorities. The team conducts several courses in the Norwegian and Nordic FinTech landscape on crypto regulation, including a DeFi & DAO workshop during the Nordic Blockchain Conference in Copenhagen 2024, and will hold a session in the Oslo event on “WEB 3 Risk – navigating MiCA & Tax”.


Mads Ribe, Associate Partner | AI & Digital Assets Lead, EY Tax & Law Norway

Mads Ribe is an Associate Partner / lawyer and leads EY’s practice on AI & Digital Assets. He holds an MBA from 2016 with focus on blockchain technology and has worked within the FinTech field since 2017. He is commonly recognized as a leading web 3 lawyer in Norway, and is contracted to write the Norwegian commentaries on MiCA for the publisher Karnov.

Anthon Søegaard, Partner | International Tax, EY Tax & Law Norway

Anthon Søegaard is a Partner / Attorney at EY’s International Tax team. He leads the technical tax assessments on all larger clients EY Norway has within blockchain and crypto, and has worked within the space since 2017. He regularly lectures on Fintech related subjects, and has been included in International Tax Reviews EMEA Rising Star shortlist based on his tax work within the industry.
