Keynote 1: Once-in-a-Decade European Opportunity – NOW!
By Copenhagen Fintech
Europe is entering a decisive decade for financial services, driven by regulation, digital infrastructure, capital market reform and geopolitical repositioning. This keynote sets the strategic context for why now is the moment for European and Nordic fintechs to scale internationally. We will explore how policy, technology, AI, capital and digital sovereignty are converging - and what this means for boards and founders. The session will challenge traditional growth assumptions and highlight where boards must actively support ambition, partnerships and internationalisation, while balancing risk, resilience and long-term value creation.
Keynote 2: Scaling Done Right – Lessons from One of Europe’s Fastest-Scaling Startups
Scaling is rarely linear — and almost never as planned. In this keynote, a leading fintech scaleup shares first-hand lessons from rapid growth across markets. The focus is on what actually worked: organisational choices, board interactions, capital timing, leadership evolution and execution trade-offs. Participants will gain insight into common mistakes, critical inflection points and the decisions that mattered most. The session highlights the board’s role as a strategic sounding board during growth, and how strong board-founder dynamics can accelerate - or unintentionally slow - international scaling.
Keynote 3: The Role of the Board in Scaling – Strategic Dilemmas and Real Trade-offs
As fintechs scale, the board’s role changes fundamentally. This keynote dives into the most common board-level dilemmas in fast-growing fintechs: when to push for growth versus discipline, how to professionalise without killing speed, and how to support founders while raising the bar on governance and performance. We explore best practices around board composition, decision rights, CEO support, capital strategy and international expansion. The session is grounded in real boardroom cases and focuses on how boards can remain relevant, value-adding and trusted as complexity increases.
